Well Blast...
Waiting to hear what the DJ has to say.
I have also asked for info on after parties or other autograph possibilities. We shall see...
I'll update later if I hear from the DJ
The waiting continues
I've been meeting wonderful women on line (at nkotb.com and nkf) who are so generous, kind, caring and have the same love as I do! And some of them like Donnie as well LOL! There are a few who are more generous than words. One such fan, bought a 5* ticket for another fan, whose dieing wish is to meet NKOTB. She bought a complete stranger a ticket to see them! I couldn't believe this when I learned about it. What an awesome person. Her story is going to be published. I can't wait to read it! LOVE HER! Her name is JRKGIRLNLA (well that's her screen name) she is an amazing woman! I can't say enough about her.
So this goes to prove that NKOTB fans are the best! Kind, caring, loving. We are members of a unique club! We have the guys to thank for bringing us all together.
Thank you NKOTB! You rock! Thank you for coming back into our lives. For letting us find each other.
Now...I just have to be caller 9 when a NKOTB song starts...which one will it be today? Hangin Tough? Step by Step? The Right Stuff? I think its funny how they are running this contest during old school lunch.

Addressing some things I hear everywhere.
Alot of the comments I get from people are regarding things written on the daily gossip blogs, or about things that have been mentioned in the past on TV programs about the guys personal lives.
I want to address that.
Personal lives are just that...PERSONAL. Just because WE "know" the guys, does not mean that they "know" us. We are not PERSONAL friends. We are not related. We are fans. When they speak of anything in their lives they are offering a piece of them to all of us, they are not welcoming us into their circle of friends.
We, as fans, do not have the RIGHT to know. We have the RIGHT to accept them for what we know about them. We have the RIGHT to buy their music, movies, merchandise. We have the RIGHT to defend them to haters.
People have to realize, they are performing for their love of doing it, for us, for them. They have a right to date whomever they want, eat whatever they want, name their children whatever they want, and share with us whatever they CHOOSE. How would you like to live in the public life (this goes for all celebs not just NKOTB) and have EVERYTHING you do either criticized or taken for gospel? They are human like us. They like alone time, like us. They keep secrets, like us.
Lets take a second and drop all the rumors and be for them what we are. Fans, Supporters. Lets soak this in and have fun :)

I think my counter is broken
Today a good friend of mine, whom I met on the first nkotb forum in April, now we are on another forum together, Gets her facetime with Donnie. First of 3 times THIS WEEK (i think). She is SO STOKED! I can't say I blame her...that's going to be me in November. I CAN'T WAIT. RG, girl. Enjoy your time. 20+ years in the making. Show Donnie the love! And take lots of pictures at the M&G cuz I gotsta see them!
Still trying to figure out how to get backstage. I can't afford the 5* tickets. I WOULD LOVE them but alas, I may just have to hang out after the show. We will see.
I'm getting more and more excited about this. My first real musical obsession is back. I can't believe its real. Not one bit. Will I cry...maybe, will I scream...most definitely.
*sigh*

My panties are in a twist!!!!
I just could not wait for the show. I mean, its 18 years since I almost gave Donnie a concussion with my peace symbol belt. I like many other fans, could not wait to see the play list, see what they were wearing...AAAAAAAHHHH. I did it. WHY DID I DO IT? I went to a video hosting site, you all know the one I mean, and I looked up NKOTB TORONTO...
My panties are officially in a twist. I mean. OMG! I spoiled it for myself. I was so naughty. I'm like a kid who sneaks into the family room on Christmas morning, and carefully opens their presents, re-wraps them and goes back to bed until breakfast.
I don't regret it, but I am not proud. They worked SO HARD to give us the best time of our adult lives, bring us back the boys we love, and I went and ruined my surprise *pout*
I NKFANATIC (pizzle on nkotb.com/nkf), Do solemnly swear, not to tempt myself with any more concert teasers, no matter how tempting. I want the November 18 show to be a meaningful, memorable one. I want to walk away and say "I WAS NOT expecting that"
To NKOTB I promise I will not go digging for footage, or begging for pictures (although it is EXTREMELY hard). I will wait(im)patiently here during the next 2 months. Drooling over vblogs, and NKTV.
I stand behind my word! I was a girl guide, so I kinda have to *wink*. I do have some other promises for the guys as well:
I promise to get my facetime...dammit I deserve it (lol)
I promise to apologize to Donnie for the near miss 18 years ago
I promise to smell Danny (it has been written that he smells like a greek god)
I promise to not ask Jordan about his rat tail
I promise to tell Jon how much he is admired
I promise to tell the guys how thankful I am for reminding me about being young
I promise to tell my husband that on that night in November I'm single (lol)
I promise to be a proud blockhead
NO MORE GAMES
On that note, I want to give you proof of the Aquanet hairspray I blogged about a while ago, and the WiKKED cool clothing and hairstyles of the past. The guys and their fans.

IT'S HERE....TORONTO ARE YOU READY?!!
There will be screaming, crying, yelling, and with Donnie's vblog promises...FACETIME! Oh yes, there will be facetime...and apparently nudity, fluidity and the Dman sleeping in the hotel Lobby. LOL GETCHA MIND RIGHT!
Keep your eyes peeled to NKTV and the NKOTB Blog (scroll down my blog to see the feeds)because I am purty darned sure there will be more teasers today.
But my question is this...How do you plan on getting your facetime? Are you going to hunt down Zach? Will you scale fences? Will you flash the guys? How will you make the time YOURS? Comments are welcome :)

I don't care what you say
Like it or not.
- You may not like their style of music.
- You may not like the fact that your girlfriend is once again having impure thoughts about them.
- You may not like the fact that they are once again on top.
- You may not like the fact that they are back.
WE DO! We like all of that and more.
We are BLOCKHEADS!

MTV.uk article
We spoke to Danny about the boys’ unlikely comeback, their new single and British women…
New Kids On The Block were the original boyband from 1986 till their split in 1994 way before Take That, N Sync or Backstreet Boys were on the music scene.
Members Jordan and Jonathan Knight, Donnie Wahlberg, Joey Macintrye and Danny Wood have since had separate careers. Jordan had a successful solo career, Donnie went off to Hollywood and Danny starred in our show Totally Boyband.
Now the five-some have unexpectedly reformed and recorded an entire new album- which features collaborations with some of the hottest artists around. We spoke to Danny to get all the gossip…
MTV: Hi Danny, how did the reunion come about?
It started when Tony gave me a call because he had written (song) Click Click Click and I loved the song and we started from there. We recorded six or seven songs before anyone knew
There was no plan we just thought we would see what happens. Things started happening naturally so we knew it was real- It’s all about the music!
What would you say to detractors who say you’re doing it for the money?
People are gonna say what ever they want. My bank account looked very nice before all of this so I didn’t have anything to worry about. We all have lives and I have a jet company so I don’t need the money.
Is this the first time you’ve talked about reforming since you split in 1994?
There was talk from other people- TV shows or producers- but not us. This was the first time we had got together and discussed doing anything.
What has changed?
The over all maturity level has changed and we are all better business men. Four of us have got kids, It’s different but when we get in the room and it’s just the 5 of us we are the same as always. When we perform together not much has changed.
What’s it like hanging out? Do you have laddish banter?
It’s very funny because people from Boston are like the British. They love to mess with each other and with us it’s all day long! If it wasn’t like that we wouldn’t be doing it.
What do you remember most about being in the UK for the MTV show Totally Boyband?
The partying. You guys can drink! I probably put on 10 pounds- I got home (to America) and didn’t drink. Making the show was so much fun and non-stop laughs. I feel very lucky that I got the chance to do it.
There were lots of beautiful women around when I was over there too. They are pretty incredible. I can’t wait to come back.
Do you keep in touch will anyone from Totally Boyband?
I talk to Jimmy still because he’s the most responsible and I’m gonna see him when I come over. I can’t find Brad and Dane has changed his number like 6 or 7 times. Put the word out for them to get in touch!
Who has worked on the new album?
We did a lot with Red One and we worked with Teddy Riley, Pollow Da Don, Akon, New Edition and Lady Gaga as well.
It’s a contemporary sound. We just set out to make a good record and see what happens.
What are your favourite tracks?
The next single is a duet with Ne-Yo. I like Click Click Click because it was the first song we recorded when we got back together.
Tell us about the single Summertime?
At the time we first released it we were still finding more songs for the record. Donnie wrote it with this young kid Nas’ree. It’s a tribute to our fans inviting them back to the party. The second single (after Summertime) is gonna kick off the party!
NKOTB’s comeback album The Block is out this week. The band tour the UK in January 2009.

Hangin Tough
WHAT WAS UP WITH THE HOLE IN JOE'S HAT?
I have never understood that. He still had hat head. He just had a big ol hole in the top of his hat. Can anyone fill me in because, maybe I just was not cool enough but I DON'T GET IT *shrugs*. Anyone...Bueller Bueller
The guys sure used to play with the hormone driven teenage girls didn't they? Especially Donnie. Mr. Pelvic thrust. Mr. Eye F***. The way the girls used to just squeal and blush and well try to sneak into his hotel room because of it.....
I don't think he's changed. He's still a flirt. He does however wear shades all the time, but I think that's because he realized his power to control his fans and make them jump fences and act all crazy like. It's almost like his eyes are a super power. Showing them only when he wants to see real crazy. He finds the girl that seems least likely to do anything nuts and unleashes his eyes. He doesn't even need to tell her to look into his eyes, like any curious fan she just looks. She is drawn to his eyes...then...BAM! Out comes the fanatic. Scaling walls, fainting, crying, traveling back in time....
But that was purely speculation...I do think its possible tho.
Danny...What can I say about Danny....Nothing but good of course. He used to be the one "pumping iron" His biceps and shoulders were so nice....Still are, especially with all those TATS! WOOT! LOVE THEM! I thought Danny was a cutie back in the day, but man he looks so hardcore now!!!! *wipes brow* And hearing that he smells good, makes me want to smell him. lmao. His scent has been compared to what you would expect a greek god to smell like... I kid you not.

So lets start at the beginning shall we?
She had these posters up on her wall of these cute guys. I mean CUTE! She told me to pick one but I couldn't choose Jon, because he was her favorite, and Jordan was her other friend's favorite. Well, she didn't have many other pictures up, but one caught my eye. Yes...it was Donnie. Instantly I proclaimed that the guy in the ripped jeans and the peace symbol shirt was my favorite. Little did I know, that fateful summer day in 1988 would change my life...FOREVER!
Lets fast forward to 1989. I was the typical fan. Floor to ceiling posters, even inside my closet. I made curtains out of the posters too. I had my doorframe and doorknob plastered in their faces. I snatched up every copy of TeenBeat, Bop, Big Bopper, and Tiger Beat that I could. MAN, was I OBSESSED! Every penny I earned babysitting went to these magazines. I couldn't only have one copy, no...there is a poster of Jon on the backside of Joey. I HAVE TO HAVE 2 COPIES. ( I swear us NKOTB fans kept those mags going for a looooong time)I asked for every book authorized or not for my birthday and Christmas. I even organized a NKOTB bday party for my kid sister. The invitations were home made concert tickets, they had to be dressed as their favorite kid and the cake had NKOTB cartoon images on it. OH MY BLOG!
In the summer of 1990. It was announced. I SHRIEKED like a schoolgirl. Ok I was a schoolgirl. But I was 16 now, and NOT a kid anymore. THE NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK WERE COMING!!!! OH MY BLOG! It was a dream come true. Surely I would snag amazing tickets by being the only one to camp out overnight for tickets! I was smart like that! Little did I know, parents and teens alike all thought the same as I did. We camped out. We got egged, mooned, sworn at. But forget them, we were all camping out for The New Kids! Who were THEY to say WE sucked. That NKOTB sucked? HOW DARE THEY! We swore back and shook our fists, all while the splatter of eggwhites dried on our jackets and NKOTB blankets.
November 1. OH GOD! ITS THE DAY OF THE CONCERT! HOLY CRAP! I decided (with my mum's permission of course) to skip school that day and go meet them! I waited along with about 500 other teens, to catch a glimpse. I arrived at the arena at 10 am...The first tourbus pulled in at about 3ish. It was chilly. My fingers were COLD. But thinking that any moment now I would meet them made me giddy.
Then we saw them. TOURBUSSES! Shrieking, crying, grabbing eachother screaming, fence climbing, fainting. One last spray of Auqua net on my TEASED bangs. Jon got off the bus. He came right to ME! OMG he was so kind. Touching fingers through the chain link fence that separated us. I snapped a couple of photos, but alas, they did not turn out. Jordan came next. Did the same as Jon. Danny and Jo went right in to the arena...So in order to get a good look and some attention of his Donnieness I went up top, on the walkway right above the bus parking. Merely feet above all that was Donnie. When he submerged from the bus.
He was wearing his black ball cap. Green and white Celtics leather jacket and I started screaming. Within seconds, I ripped off my peace symbol belt and yelled his name to get his attention. When he looked up and smiled (oh what a smile it was), without thinking or planning, I heaved my peace symbol belt over the rail and missed his head by mere inches. OH THE HUMILIATION! He bent over and picked it up. Looked up and asked "WHO THREW THIS?" OH GAWD. He's mad...I slowly put my hand up and replied "I DID, SORRY DONNIE" He thanked me and as he was entering the building he was fixing it to his waist! DONNIE WAS WEARING MY BELT!!!!!!!! That made it so worthwhile!
Shortly after that NK mania started to die down. It was getting harder to follow them as I was reaching my partying prime. At 18, I became legal and simply forgot how much I worshipped the guys just a year and a half before. I still watched them on Arsenio Hall. But by that point, Jon was no longer with them, and it was different. Then *poof* NKOTB was no more.
I've always looked them up to see what they are up to. THANK YOU INTERNET. Watched Jordan on Surreal Life, Watched Joe on Dances with the Stars, watched Oprah with Jon and Jordan, watched Ransom, Band of Brothers (and only while watching did I learn Donnie was in it...BONUS). Then came 2008. Perez Hilton mentioned they were reuniting. NO WAY! Then it was in People SO ITS TRUE!
I found NKOTB.COM and began watching the videos, awaiting a concert date (Nov. 18 btw...almost exactly 18 years since I last saw them here), awaiting album releases and my Donnie Worshipping is Back!
Cant wait to see you guys on tour! I am so excited. And I did stop using Aqua net, I no longer wear ripped jeans, but I will probably still hyperventalate when I see you all :)
Saturday, September 6, 2008
Are you ready?
Two weeks until the tour! WOW! I still have to wait 2 months, but its worth it.
This summer was filled with anticipation, excitement, updates, singles (SINGLE....OMYBLOG), and teasing from DW.
All this talk about FACETIME and HUGS and how he will be sleeping in the lobby of all the hotels in a sleeping bag cuz he ain't hiding this tour. And FACETIME. And then he shows his butt, and causes mass hysteria among all Donnie fans (and converts).
That's right I said MASS HYSTERIA! There will be tears, screams, possibly fainting, maybe fence climbing. Yes that's right. I said fence climbing! Now pass me my ripped jeans, my hypercolour T shirt and my Aqua Net! I can't wait for this trip back in time. It will be chaos! Does he realize what he has done? How is Donnie going to cope? A MILLION HUGS?!!!
So, as I said...Single! It's a fabulous song! The voices are FAN-TAB-U-LOUS! NeYo is great! They all look DAM* FINE! *fans self* They are no longer the Boys from Boston! Nay Nay....they are GROWN MEN!
I'm Ready!
READY FOR MY FACETIME!!!
